Microchanneling
Microneedling Evoloved. AKA Collagen Induction Therapy.
What is Microchanneling?
Microchanneling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure where tiny, microscopic channels are created in the skin using a specialized device. These micro-injuries trigger the body's natural healing response, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, two essential proteins that keep the skin firm and youthful. The process also allows for better absorption of active ingredients, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the treatment.

Microchanneling FAQ
Microchanneling Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between microchanneling and microneedling?
Microchanneling is Microneedling evolved. Microchanneling is a linear stamping method that creates uniformly distributed channels without causing skin tearing or dragging, leading to reduced discomfort. The treatment is quicker due to wider tips covering more surface area. Additionally, microchanneling typically involves minimal downtime. In contrast, microneedling creates irregular and angled channels, making it a more abrasive procedure with downtime lasting between 5 to 7 days.
Why does skin age?
Skin ages visibly and invisibly every day due to factors such as sun damage, internal inflammation, environmental toxins, and gravity. As we grow older, fewer regenerative stem cells remain to repair ongoing skin damage.
Does it hurt?
A strong numbing cream is applied prior to needling, ensuring comfort throughout the treatment. Most clients describe the sensation as light vibration with minimal to no discomfort. Afterward, the skin may feel gently tightened but without lingering pain.
Who can undergo this treatment?
Microchanneling is a minimally invasive procedure that is safe for all skin types. Whether you have fair or dark skin, or even if you experience chronic breakouts, properly conducted microchanneling treatments will not cause hyperpigmentation, keloid scars, or any lasting negative side effects.
My skin is irritated. Can I use moisturizer?
It’s normal to experience minor irritation after treatment, especially for those with sensitive skin. Your skin may appear pink or light red for several hours to a day.
On the day of treatment, apply the provided AnteAGE Hyaluronic Acid to calm and hydrate.
By days 3–5, when the skin feels tight or dry, a hyaluronic mask offers soothing relief and enhanced hydration—available for purchase at the clinic.
Do not use active for a 5-7 days, as your skin may be more sensitive.
How long before I can expect to see results?
While neocollagenesis (the production of new collagen) can take 4-6 weeks, improvements in skin quality and appearance can often be noticed within the first 24 hours. After 2-3 treatments, a thicker, more robust collagen-filled cellular matrix will yield consistent and noticeable results. Four to six treatments may be recommended for scarring, laxity, and wrinkles.

This includes, but is not limited to, active radiation or chemotherapy, uncontrolled diabetes, chronic inflammatory skin diseases, recent use of Accutane (within the past 1 year), or bleeding disorders like hemophilia.
